MooreI had an old Rand 4000 air compressor that was recalled (1986 model). As part of their recall program they let me choose from a number of different air compressors at a discounted price. I chose the SS3F2, 2hp 30 gallon Garage Mate since it is almost identical to my old Rand 4000. So far I'm very happy with this compressor. The first thing I was shocked about is how quiet it is. You can still listen to the radio while this thing is running! Also, with the 30 gallon tank, it has to run less anyway. Make sure you also buy the start up kit because when I got my compressor it did not have oil in it yet (or even include any). I found the start up kit for $24.95 online and it comes with 2x 0.5L bottles of oil and 2 air filters. The pump only holds 0.5L of oil so you have a full bottle left over for a future change. The start up kit also extends your factory warranty by 2 years.
